QUOTABLE “I was excited going into the year. I knew we had a good team. I’ve always played up (in age division) my whole life, so being a freshman and playing against older guys was something I was just kind of used to. I think that helped a lot, just not being nervous playing against older guys, and I just felt like I was prepared for that. I had a pretty good year pitching-wise, and going into the year I wasn’t really expecting to be a part of our staff. I was happy to perform and get more innings. I do think I can hit better. I think I just threw away atbats … definitely going into next year I know I have to be better hitting-wise.”
